Ambassadors

The Beaver Valley Agricultural Society

Ambassador Program

The Beaver Valley Agricultural Society Ambassador Program is a very supportive program that develops youth and young adults in leadership, community engagement, networking skills,
agricultural awareness and public relations. Through this experience, you will have the opportunity to establish yourself as a young leader in the community. Past Ambassadors have
built lasting friendships, created lasting memories and developed greater confidence.

Fair Ambassador and Junior Fair Ambassador

Each year, the Beaver Valley Agricultural Society selects a Fair Ambassador and a Junior Fair Ambassador to represent the Agricultural Society at the Fair, and also at events throughout the
year. Fair Ambassadors are young adults between the ages of 17 and 21. Junior Ambassadors are youth between the ages of 13 and 16. This is an inclusive program open to all genders.

The Beaver Valley Agricultural Society provides scholarships to the Ambassadors upon completion of their year-long term. In recognition for completing the term, the Fair
Ambassador receives a $500 bursary and the Junior Ambassador receives a $200 bursary. In addition, the Fair Ambassador will have the opportunity to represent the community and the
Agricultural Society at the CNE Ambassadors of the Fairs Competition in August 2026.

Registration Deadline: July 18, 2026

2025-26 Fall Fair Ambassador Message

It has been a privilege to represent the Beaver Valley Agricultural Society as the Fair Ambassador. It has been a year filled with fun activities, great experiences and personal growth.

I had so much fun attending every one of the fair activities including the Wrestling, the Pet Show, the Touch a Truck, the exhibits and most of all, the Roast Beef Dinner. Since the Fair, I have had the opportunity to attend several community events including the Scarecrow Invasion Parade, Olde Fashioned Christmas and the Open Field Farm Tour. This year, Beaver Valley Agricultural Society hosted the Fall District 10 meeting and our Ambassador Program was very fun. We had a baking class where we made yummy apple desserts and we learned line dancing. I also attended the OAAS Convention in Richmond Hill where I met Fair Ambassadors from across Ontario and attended educational sessions where I learned about leadership, and ideas to make fairs fun and engaging. I have also attended general meetings for the Ag Society, and I really learned more about the hard work and dedication that go into making the Fair such a fun community event.

Being an Ambassador has helped my confidence with public speaking, and it has helped me to develop skills that will be useful in my career when I’m done school. I’m also looking forward to representing Beaver Valley at the CNE for the Ambassador of the Fairs competition this August.

I enjoyed getting to know Kestrel, our Junior Ambassador and it was fun attending events with her. I’m excited to see everyone at the Fair, and I look forward to seeing all of the exhibits. I’d also like to send a big thank you to the Beaver Valley Agricultural Society for this opportunity.

Cassie Ward, 2025/26 Fair Ambassador

During my time as Junior Ambassador I had the opportunity to meet people and step out of my comfort zone. I had fun attending the Fair and the activities with Cassie and I enjoyed attending the Scarecrow Invasion Parade and the Olde Fashioned Christmas event. I had a wonderful time as Junior Ambassador. Thank you to the Agricultural Society for the opportunity.
